Job Details
- Position: Project Engineer (Plant & Machinery)
- Project: Upgrading of Nrowkia (Sasstown JN) to Barclayville, Sasstown and Nipleppo Road Project
- Location: Liberia
- Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 10 Years of Total Experience
- Language Requirement: Fluent in English
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage deployment of construction equipment required for highway and structural works.
- Ensure availability of excavators, graders, rollers, pavers, batching plants, and transit mixers as per project schedule.
- Coordinate with Highway and Structure teams for equipment requirements and priorities.
- Prepare equipment mobilization and demobilization plans.
- Monitor equipment utilization, productivity, idle time, and breakdowns.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain records of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and operating hours.
- Monitor fuel consumption and control wastage through proper tracking.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement activities.
- Ensure availability of trained operators and required manpower.
- Implement equipment safety practices and comply with HSE requirements.
- Maintain equipment logbooks, service records, and maintenance history.
- Support planning teams with equipment productivity data for scheduling and cost control.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and specialized maintenance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Highway and Structural Construction Projects.
- Knowledge of equipment management and maintenance systems.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for:
- Equipment Management
- Maintenance Tracking
- Fuel Monitoring
- Cost Control
