Job Details:
Position: Electrical Engineer
- Education B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: 5–10 years Experience in Highway, NHAI, or large-scale Infrastructure projects
- Software Skills: AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel is mandatory for billing work)
Technical Knowledge
- HT / LT distribution systems
- Transformers
- Switchgears
Soft Skills
- Strong negotiation and liaison skills
- Ability to coordinate with government departments and utility authorities
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Utility Shifting (Pre-Construction Phase)
- Conduct detailed route surveys to identify HT/LT lines, transformers, and poles affecting the Right of Way (RoW)
- Prepare DPRs and cost estimates for utility shifting as per SEB norms
- Liaise with DISCOMs and government bodies for approvals, shutdowns, and NOCs
- Supervise dismantling of existing utilities and installation of new lines, poles, underground cabling, and transformers
- Ensure utility shifting is completed without impacting project timelines
2. Site Mobilization & Power Management
- Plan and execute electrical layouts for site offices, labour camps, batching plants, and crushing units
- Manage installation and maintenance of DG sets
- Apply for and coordinate temporary and permanent power connections from the local grid
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Indian Electricity (IE) Rules and project EHS guidelines
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, earthing, and equipment
- Implement safety measures to prevent electrical hazards on site
